In this new age, we are able to provide treatment in unconventional ways: online being one of them. Can't get to me? No problem. If you have a computer, tablet, iPad or smart phone, I'll get to you. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California, Florida, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia; therefore, I can provide Telehealth services to anyone living anywhere in those states. Telehealth is an incredible tool to help many receive the treatment they desire. It's a very convenient alternative to the traditional face-to-face treatment. Consultations are always free so it’s worth just giving it a shot.
One strong belief I hold is that exercise creates a healthier you in respects to your mind, body and soul. There is no better drug than walking outdoors to produce dopamine in the most natural and effective way. So, why not take therapy outdoors? Nature is our office. For 60-minutes, we will spend our therapy session on a trail, park or neighborhood of your choice. It’s a fantastic alternative to those with a healthy conscience or those who want accountability in working towards a healthier you.
I understand that many of our geriatric population do not have access to transportation. There is a huge need to help our seniors coping through end-of-life grief/transitions, terminal diagnosis, mental diagnosis and bereavement. This is why I offer in-home sessions. However, they are not exclusive to just our seniors. In-home services are wonderful for those with disabilities and folks that feel “technically challenged” (in other words, you hate that stupid computer). I’d be more than happy to accommodate you if appropriate and applicable.
Addiction is a disease. Period. Working with addicts, dual diagnosed and codependent population is complex and requires a different skill set. Along with specialized training and obtaining an addiction studies certificate, I have worked extensively with this population from the start of my career. I'm tough when it comes to addiction, but incredibly empathetic to the disease. I'm scientifically based in my approach to treating this population while allowing you to be heard. My only criteria is that you're motivated for change and willing to work.
